QUMS is excited to announce that internationally acclaimed choral conductor Tori Longdon will be running an exclusive workshop for QUMS members on the evening of Wednesday 9th September 2026 - this will be instead of rehearsal that evening. Entry by donation, suggested at $10 per person. Contributions over and above gratefully accepted, however not expected.
Tori Longdon is an internationally recognised choral conductor, chorus director, vocal coach, educator, and adjudicator, known for her work with leading choirs across the UK and around the world. She is the Principal Conductor of the Covent Garden Chorus and Associate Chorus Director of the London Philharmonic Choir, helping to prepare ensembles for conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Edward Gardner, and Vladimir Jurowski.
Internationally recognised for her work on King's Coronation Concert in 2023, Tori coached eighteen choirs from across the United Kingdom for the Coronation Concert. She recently chorus-mastered her first BBC Proms concert at London's Royal Albert Hall, regularly leads conducting masterclasses, and serves as an adjudicator at festivals and competitions worldwide. Her work takes her to such places as Australia, the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and more.
An experienced educator, Tori has lectured at the Royal Academy of Music and the Junior Guildhall Conservatoire. She is also a conductor for BBC One's Songs of Praise and an adjudicator for BBC Young Choir of the Year. In 2025, she joined the international jury for the Choir of the World competition at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod and will return to the panel in 2026 and 2027.
